The challenge was to design an identity for a potential sub-brand for an airline company was first put forth by The Futur. I chose to develop one for Malaysia Airlines as performance-wise, they have taken a hit over the past few years due to unforeseen tragedies and dwindling customer confidence.
From reading the feedback online about customer experiences with Malaysia Airlines, you would quickly identify 3 trends: customers have great experiences in every seat class, in-flight service is quick and attentive, and fliers are very happy with the full-service offerings such as generous baggage allowance included with every ticket.
It was delight and splendour with every touch.
The goal of Splendour by Malaysia Airlines is to take those experiences and elevate them even higher, providing the unparalleled comfort and bespoke hospitality that luxury resorts offer. The ideal customer for this class is the self-realised managing directors who flies for both business and pleasure. Going from one place to another, attending meetings and giving talks is difficult work, and she understands how important it is to invest in rest and solace in the time between.
